This illustrated book cover for Embers of You captures the charm of small-town romance with a bright, sunny atmosphere. The scene features a couple walking through a cozy farm setting on a sunny spring–summer day, surrounded by details that bring the countryside to life—a classic red barn, wandering chickens, playful dogs chasing a hen, a horse grazing in the distance, and a wooden barrel filled with apples.
For this piece, I focused on creating a warm, inviting environment using soft natural lighting, vibrant seasonal colors, and layered textures to convey the peaceful rhythm of rural life.
This project showcases my approach to romantic, small-town illustration: blending atmospheric lighting, and background elements to create a cover that feels full of life.
