For the cover of Grief & Acceptance by Sophie Hogg, the client wanted the illustration to reflect the book's themes of grief and healing. We chose to show both characters from behind, sitting together as they look out over the city skyline.
I illustrated the cover and designed the full layout, using lighting, color and composition to let the emotion of the scene take center stage.
