This special edition book cover for A Requiem for Fallen Stars by Hazel S. Wilkes was a full cover design project where I handled every visual element from start to finish. The front cover illustration features the main character, Lyra, while the back showcases a shadow panther surrounded by flowers that are significant to the story.

For this edition, I designed the complete cover layout, illustration, and typography. The title lettering was created using a selected font that I customized by adjusting its structure and adding star details to enhance the celestial feel of the book.

I also designed an intricate frame design meant to be finished in holographic foil, adding detailed vines, stars, and more flowers that add depth and visual interest to the final cover.

To complete the special edition look, I illustrated all three sprayed edges, incorporating the same floral elements, a starry backdrop, and the shadow panther centered on the middle edge for a cohesive finish.

This project highlights my approach to immersive book design, blending illustration, layout, typography, and special finishes to create a visually stunning edition that feels intentional, magical, and made to be displayed.
